Girls Have More Fun

Yes, girls have more fun! well that’s they would have us believe but apparently the fun level has been declining over the years… Wait what?!

In numerous studies females scored higher than males in standard tests of emotion recognition, social sensitivity and empathy. This is a good thing right? yes but apparently those very factors may cause women to suffer from depression! Why? Well from all the unexpressed anger and resentment !

Why are women angry and resentful?

Think of all the relentless social and moral pressure to be empathetic, nurturing and forever cast in the role of caregiver. The real issue here is ‘society’ is it not? we are all so mindful of the ridiculous standards set by ‘society’ that it’s constantly messing with our mental health. It’s ironic that this ‘society’ we live in fear of is people just like us!

What Do Men Want?

5 women

To my mind men need 5 kinds of women all rolled into one:

  • The modest woman
  • The smart woman
  • The clingy woman
  • The independent woman
  • The sexy woman

The Modest Woman

This woman is subdued. She does not flaunt her sexuality in public. She dresses conservatively and wears little or no makeup. She is poised and proper, never loses her temper or raises her voice, her character is impeccable. She never expects her man to help with chores and she is careful not to wake him on Sunday mornings when shes getting ready for Church. This type of woman takes care of her man unobtrusively. She allows her man to take charge and make every decision while she keeps her opinion to herself.

This woman has conveniently forgotten that phrase… What’s the phrase again? Oh! ‘I told you so’ .

Love Light and Joy

What do you do when you’re in emotional pain? Events, loss and the thoughtless actions of those you love can literally bring you to your knees! What do you do? do you pray? Pour your heart out to a trusted confidant? Maybe you cry and lick your wounds in private because you want to always appear strong and indomitable?

Although I try to be stoic and unfazed, there were a few times in my life when I completely fell apart. I can still vividly recall my despair, that empty aching black hole in the center of my being. Did I ever fully recover? Did the black hole scab over and disappear? Who knows? Maybe I built a wall around it, high enough to safeguard myself from ever falling prey to any circumstances that may reopen that wound.
