The Countdown to my Adventure Begins!

With two weeks to go before I begin my 2020 Bucket List Adventure, I’m very distracted! My friend Lyn has already booked us an all-day tour with GetYourGuide which pretty much takes care of the last remaining detail. I am still looking at other options but, I’ll wait to see how knackered we are from that full day tour before deciding on another. We really love the GetYourGuide tours, our first experience using them in Lisbon last year was so worth it! We were able to see all of the sights with the option of hopping off to get a closer look at some of the monuments and museums before hopping unto another tour bus.

Lyn will be arriving in Flagstaff on the 20th but my journey is a bit longer so I won’t get there until the 21st. We will do the tour on the 22nd then I will decide what I want to do when I wake up on the 23rd – its my birthdaaayyy! The Museum of Northern Arizona is definitely worth a visit and I want to explore Heritage Square and downtown Flagstaff so we may go walkabout after a late breakfast.

I Love to Eat

I love to eat out (see what I did there?) Whenever I travel I always look forward to hearty breakfasts and long leisurely dinners. Hopefully, I’ll find a great restaurant for a memorable birthday dinner. Unfortunately, a few of the restaurants are closed because of the pandemic and some are only offering takeout. Black Bart’s looks good but unfortunately, it’s closed… bummer! Brix Restaurant and Wine Bar looks great and they are open so that’s definitely an option. I will look at a few others before I decide. This is totally unlike me! I’m not usually so organized (I’m beginning to impress myself!).

Now that the most important matters have been sorted, I need to get my gear together! I definitely have to do some shopping for suitably warm clothing and comfortable walking shoes. My plan is to overnight in Miami on the 20th so I can pick up what I need in the Dolphin Mall.

Shopping

I’m not a big fan of shopping, I usually like to pick out what I need as quickly as possible. The obvious downside to doing that is losing out on reduced prices, BOGO and other opportunities to save cash. Recently I’ve learnt that I should look for discount codes and special offers before I go shopping, that way I can still save without spending hours in the mall. I’m going to go hunting for discount codes and other offers this weekend and I’ll be sure to let you know what I find!

Don’t forget that I’ll be sharing whatever offers I find in my next post so if you haven’t subscribed as yet now is a good time to do so! just enter your email address (above) and you’re good to go.
