Covid-19 Protocols for International Travel

What do we know about Covid-19 protocols for international air travel right now? Things are pretty fluid that’s for sure! Protocols for travelers entering the Eastern Caribbean where I live are quite strict across the board. A negative PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test result and vent-free face coverings are required to board commercial airlines. Upon arrival, tourists (as well as residents) are required to fill out paperwork regarding where they will be accommodated and quarantine is mandatory for all travelers– residents and visitors alike.

The Best Birthday Trip Ever!

I’ve learned that every destination has its own unique charm. A new destination is like a beautifully wrapped present waiting to be opened. The unfamiliar scents and sounds always give me a giddy rush of excitement and anticipation. My recent trip was no different, me and my friend, Lyn, toured from Flagstaff Arizona to the Grand Canyon and through red rock country to beautiful Sedona. The trip was everything and more than I anticipated, in fact, it was the best birthday trip ever!

Pure Bliss!

Our visit to the canyon culminated with a quiet moment of pure bliss as I sat on the south rim overlooking the Duck on a Rock and unwrapped my sandwich. I felt supremely blessed as I sat there munching contentedly while soaking in the spectacular view laid out before me. It was an unseasonably warm November day, cold and windy despite the bright sunshine. Perfect weather for me!

The Adventure Begins!

Would you believe that I arrived in Flagstaff on November 22^nd instead of November 21^st because I missed my flight!? Can you imagine that? yep, I arrived at the airport in Antigua only to be told that I had brought the wrong passport with me. I dashed home and literally tore the place apart looking for the correct passport. Eventually, I had a moment of clarity, I had left it with the receptionist at my office along with an authorization for mail collection! Unfortunately, there was no way of retrieving it before my flight closed. I had to re-book my flights (an unplanned and unwelcome expense) and cancel my overnight hotel stay in Miami as well.
