Tales from the Qrypt – Business Prt 2

Hendy secured a bar stool for me and went to get us drinks. I sat down and craned my neck to see what was going on onstage but I couldn’t see beyond the crowd.  I could tell by the whistles and applause that the show was a lively one. Hendy came back with drinks and as soon as I had taken my first sip he pulled me off my perch to dance.

I stared at her blankly trying to figure out what the hell she just said. She glanced at me and suddenly threw her head back and laughed with genuine enjoyment, her laughter was infectious and I couldn’t help joining in. I rather suspected that somehow the joke was on me. “Baby! the look on your face is killing me!, I said I had just gotten in and I needed some hot tea because I was so hungry!” she said in what sounded like an American accent.
