What have you learned in 2020?

Finally, we’re at the end of what most are describing as the worst year ever. What have you learned in 2020? and how will what you learned colour how you approach the new year? I think most of us learned that some of the stuff we once considered important is not so important after all. You know what I’m talking about – maybe there’s an expensive outfit hanging in your closet with the tags still on? My point is, sometimes we squander precious resources on unimportant things when we can do much more meaningful things with those same resources if we employed them elsewhere.

Here’s what I learned – time is short!

Time is a valuable resource, one we sometimes take for granted. As I reflect on the last few months I can’t help but notice how fleeting those happy and contented moments were. I learned to be grateful for the moments I will forever treasure – a perfect moment of oneness with a loved one; a rainy day in bed watching a Netflix series with my cat Sadie curled up in my lap; that triumphant moment when I finally complete an overdue project; that last blaze of amazing colour as the sun slips below the horizon… it seems the best moments are all fleeting! If you doubt that, well just think about your last orgasm….. see what I mean? That is exactly why I resolve to spend more time on the things that will benefit me in the long term and bring me joy.

Far From the Ordinary

The blessing “may you live in interesting times” is reportedly a curse of Chinese origin and I can clearly see why. “Interesting times” certainly hints at something far from the ordinary! I am sure that you will agree that we are all living in extremely ‘interesting times”.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made history as the one to affect all of the world’s population. On the six-month anniversary of the outbreak in June 2020, The World Health Organization reported that there were 10 million cases and 500,000 deaths worldwide.  At the end of July, there were in excess of 15 million cases and 700,000 deaths. We are all grappling with varying emotions as we contemplate this reality.

The Well Dressed/Confident Man

Dressing well and looking your best is a great way to boost your self-confidence. Hence, taking the time to experiment with different aspects of clothing to determine what complements you is important. Depending on your complexion, some colors will look better than others. Find out what your color palette is and use it to your advantage, yes I know what you’re thinking but trust me this works!

Similarly, some cuts of clothing would accentuate good aspects of your body type while camouflaging the not so good aspects. Let’s face it, no one is perfect but with a little knowledge of what looks good, you can come pretty close to cutting the perfect figure!
